About 155 Marlee AvenueBriar Hill Towers

At first glance, Briar Hill Towers doesn’t look like much; its grey brick exterior and traditional tower design is reminiscent of hundreds of condos built in the 80s that you’ve probably seen around the GTA. That being said, this building actually has a lot to offer, and in spite of its dated exterior, it has been well maintained on the inside.

Standing 23 storeys tall at 155 Marlee Ave, this condo provides its residents with recreation focused amnesties — outdoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, party room, games room, and parking garage. As well, for those who entertain, there’s available visitor parking so your guests won’t have to worry about find a place on the street.

Toronto condos for sale in this building are a great opportunity for first time home buyers, young professionals, families, and even empty nesters; with large suite sizes and a variety of units at affordable prices, there’s plenty of selection for buyers of any kind.

    The Suites

Briar Hill Towers was built in 1973 — some buyers might be turned away based on this building's age, but that would be a mistake. As is often the case with older condos, units here are far larger than those found in modern high-rises — suite sizes range from 1156 square feet to 1259.

There are 264 units in this building, and many of them have seen some form of personalization over the years, so finishes may vary. However, buyers can expect to find hardwood floors, updated kitchens with modern appliances, open concept layouts, walk in closets in master bedrooms, and private balconies.

Condos found in this building have great value and will likely be especially appealing to families — with 3 bedroom suites that offer 1300 square feet of living space and sell for the price of an 800 square foot 2 bedroom unit in downtown Toronto, your family will feel at home with a spacious condo and you’ll save some money in the process.

    The Neighbourhood

If you’ve been searching for trendy neighbourhoods or fast paced communities in the GTA, you probably haven’t come across Briar Hill & Belgravia. It doesn’t have the dining options of King West, the boutique shopping and craft beer of Queen West, or the bustling pace of the Bay Street Corridor, but what this neighbourhood does offer is arguably more important than all of that — a commuter friendly location, with ample urban convenience and very affordable prices.

Situated in the York Crosstown area, just west of Allen Road, residents of Briar Hill Towers have a great neighbourhood to explore. Step out of your front door and you’re minutes from Shahi The Royal Roti for Indian cuisine, Domino's, Pizza Nova, and Miyako Sushi. To the south on Eglinton you’ll encounter a selection of Caribbean restaurants, and there are also cafes such as Coffee Time for that all important morning coffee.

Eglinton is home to many boutiques — you won’t find Prada or Gucci here — and service based businesses which add an extra layer of convenience for residents; there are clothing stores, auto parts shops, salons, and cosmetic stores. For additional shopping, you can venture north of Lawrence for a large commercial space containing many big box stores.

Briar Hill & Belgravia won’t provide you with a vibrant nightlife but there are some local pubs like Chalkers Pub Billiards Bistro for an evening drink. Viewmount Park Tennis Club is just east of your building, and there are several athletic clubs and facilities to the north. Residents have nearby green spaces at Viewmount Park and Walter Saunders Memorial Park, and walking trails as well.

    Transportation

155 Marlee Ave has a Walk Score of 86 — so residents should have no trouble running errands on foot. Even grocery runs are easy here, thanks to Sobeys Urban Fresh Rosebury Square and Zito's Marketplace which are both less than a 5 minute walk away.

Public transit users have bus stops on Marlee and Eglinton, and Eglinton West Station is within walking distance for subway lines.

Drivers can get where they’re going in a hurry by heading north on Allen Road for the 401, and from there it’s easy to connect to major highways.
