About 30 Glen Elm AvenueGlen Elm

Thriving green spaces surround 30 Glen Elm Avenue, no matter what direction you look. Surprisingly enough, this quaint residential road is tucked away just off of Yonge Street, a few streets north of St. Clair Avenue in midtown Toronto. There’s really no telling whether prospective buyers will find Glen Elm Condos charming for their proximity to parks and gardens or a bustling commercial scene.

At 30 Glen Elm Avenue, this 3-storey structure is a prominent fixture in the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood, developed in 1980 by High City Holdings. Now tucked behind some trees that have since grown taller than the building itself, the building's distinguished brickwork is interspersed with many grand balconies and terraces. These private outdoor spaces feature glass walls that blend right in with large windows that surround them, providing the building with a touch of contemporary style.

While this is most certainly a boutique building, residents still have access to an array of amenities. These include a party room, a well-equipped exercise room, and, a sumptuous sauna to rest and relax in following a workout. Finally, since midtown Toronto is such an exciting area to explore, the Glen Elm Condos’ ample parking proves quite practical — it has enough space to accommodate friends and family whenever they want to visit.

    The Suites

Home to an intimate community, the building at 30 Glen Elm contains just 40 suites. These homes are generously sized, spanning 800 to 2,400 square feet, and consisting of one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom living spaces, meaning that buyers of all sorts can find Toronto condos for sale here. To top it all off, some of the units also boast warm features like cozy fireplaces and skylights.

The Glen Elm Condos’ renowned private balconies and terraces are spacious, feeling more like extra living spaces. However, when the winter weather rolls around each year, residents can enjoy spending time inside without feeling claustrophobic. Bright and airy atmospheres are created by sliding glass that stretch from floor to ceiling, as well as the many large windows found throughout the units..

    The Neighbourhood

Sitting in Yonge and St. Clair, those living in Glen Elm Condos are part of an active community — thanks to two parks on their block alone, plus a network of additional trails to the east. Moreover, residents have access to a strong commercial hub around where St. Clair meets Yonge, about a five-minute walk away.

At Yonge and St. Clair, one can shop in many major global chains. When going out to eat, residents have endless options at their disposal: there are some familiar restaurant franchises as well as delicious local fare in the neighbourhood. But clearly one can't eat out every night, which is why the nearby Loblaws is so convenient for residents living at 30 Glen Elm. This expansive grocery store sits at the northeast corner of Yonge and St. Clair, in the building directly beside the nearby Deer Park Public Library.

    Transportation

The nearby Loblaws at Yonge and St. Clair may also be quite popular with residents for another reason: it sits across the street from the closest subway station. St. Clair. Station, on the Yonge-University-Spadina line, is often the first part of any journey for those heading out without a car. Travelers can take trains from St. Clair north and south through the city. In only three stops one can find a connection to the east-west running Bloor Danforth Line; alternatively, a fifteen-minute ride will carry passengers down to Union Station, the city’s major public transit hub.

The 512 Streetcar also makes its way along St. Clair West, stopping both outside the Glen Elm Condos and the nearby St. Clair station. While it speeds up trips over to the subway, the 512 is also convenient when residents need to venture west across midtown, as it runs between St. Clair Station at Yonge and Gunn’s Loop, past Keele Street.

Finally, for those who most often drive, residents can access the 401 by heading north on Yonge. They can also head east from 30 Glen Elm to Bayview Avenue, which leads south to an onramp for the Don Valley Parkway, usually taking all of about ten minutes.
